Professor Divjak's masterclass @ Monash University Australia

Head of the LA Lab, Professor Blaženka Divjak, visited the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and held several classes for the Monash educators, researchers and PhD students.
On Tuesday, 6 February 2024, she held a masterclass entitled Learning Design and Learning Analytics to Support Evidence-Based Strategy and Empower Teaching and Learning. She discussed contemporary learning analytics research conducted by her team from the perspective of decision-making in different domains – chaotic, complex and complicated (as defined by D. J. Snowden’s Cynefin framework: https://hbr.org/2007/11/a-leaders-framework-for-decision-making). The masterclass was attended by more than 50 participants.
On Thursday, 8 February 2024, together with Professor Valentina Kirinić, she held a workshop on the Balanced Learning Design Planning concept and tool (https://learning-design.eu). She presented the ongoing projects of the LA Lab, promoting the current results of the iLed project (https://iled-project.eu) and announcing those forthcoming within the TRUELA project (https://lalab.foi.hr/truela).
Professors also participated in a number of meetings with the Monash University’s leadership and researchers, to learn more about the University’s current research in learning analytics, artificial intelligence in education and related areas. The meetings were also opportunities for discussions on decision-making and quality assurance in higher education, as well as potential future cooperation.
