Start of the Erasmus+ iLed project

An international Erasmus+ project, Innovating Learning Design for Higher Education (iLed), coordinated by Full Professor Blaženka Divjak, PhD from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), started on 3 October 3 2022.
The three-year project worth 400.000 EUR will be focused on supporting the further digital transformation of higher education and a meaningful, effective shift towards digital education by innovating learning design based on the concept of learning outcomes and student-centered curricula, in line with Bologna principles.
Besides the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Organization and Informatics, the project gathers renown partners from different countries:
University of Zagreb's School of Medicine (Croatia)
J.W. Goethe University (Germany)
Oulu University (Finland)
The Open University (United Kingdom)
iLed activities are organized in five work packages :
WP n°1 Project management
WP n°2 Upgrading the learning design concept and tool
WP n°3 Validating learning design in authentic online and blended L&T environments, based on learning outcomes and using learning analytics inventory
WP n°4 Using learning design to support the implementation of innovative digital pedagogies in course restructuring/enhancement/ improvement
WP n°5 Enhancing digital pedagogy competences of teachers through open educational resources
"This project shows that FOI is, with its partners, making a step forward in innovations by using interdisciplinary approaches in the development of new concepts and tools competitive on the international level. It uses interdisciplinary knowledge and skills of partners in the field of educational technologies and science, mathematics (analytics) and informatics (design and tool development) in order to promote a modern way of learning", Professor Divjak stated.
Through this project, innovation of learning design will be enabled by further development and construction of a novel concept and an original tool called Balanced Design Planning (BDP). The idea and concept of the BDP tool represent a result of a previous Erasmus+ project titled Relevant assessment and pedagogies for inclusive digital education (RAPIDE). Through the pilot phase, the BDP tool was used to design more than 200 courses in more than 20 countries worldwide.
Besides focusing on learning design and learning analytics, the project aims to support the development of micro-credentials and digital credentials, which support lifelong learning and European mobility.
