Study visit by Dr Abhinava Barthakur from UniSA
On Monday, 9 September 2024, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted a study visit by Dr Abhinava Barthakur, a researcher from the University of South Australia in Adelaide. Dr Barthakur's research is focused on the development of novel human-centered assessment models for measuring complex competencies, based on learning analytics. This visit was part of the ongoing cooperation of prof. dr. sc. Blaženka Divjak and the LA Laboratory with the University of South Australia.
Dr Barthakur discussed the challenges of traditional assessment, stressing the need for a more holistic representation of academic success. In relation to this, he presented his research group's work related to complex assessment models based on learner profiles and curricular mapping. The presentation was followed by a fruitful and engaged discussion by all participants, including members of the LA Laboratory and other interested researchers from FOI.
