A laboratory that leverages data, analytics and AI to improve learning, teaching and academic practices.
The Learning Analytics (LA) Lab of the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Organization and Informatics comprises an interdisciplinary group of researchers and practitioners dealing with learning analytics, academic analytics, and related areas such as learning design.

Balanced Design Planning Tool
Developed by members of the Learning Analytics Lab, the BDP tool is an innovative, research-based learning design solution that integrates learning analytics, AI and pedagogical innovations to support evidence-informed course design and teaching practice.
Based on extensive research and international collaboration, the BDP tool is a constructive-alignment-oriented and modular solution grounded in learning outcomes and learner workload, enabling educators to design balanced, aligned and meaningful learning experiences.

Study visit by Dr Abhinava Barthakur from UniSA
11/09/2024On Monday, 9 September 2024, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted a study visit by Dr Abhinava Barthakur, a researcher from the University of South Australia in Adelaide. Dr Barthakur's research is focused on the development of novel human-centered assessment models for measuring complex competencies, based on learning analytics. This visit was part of the ongoing cooperation of prof. dr. sc. Blaženka Divjak and the LA Laboratory with the University of South Australia.

27/03/2024Within a study visit, on Friday and Monday, 16 and 19 February 2024, Professor Blaženka Divjak, accompanied by Professor Valentina Kirinić, visited two universities in Singapore: Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore. The universities are among the top 20 universities of the world.
